Global LT Takes it All as Parks & Rec Adult Fall Softball Champions

It was a great fall season for the Global LT employees, friends and family who participated in the City of Troy 2009 Adult Fall Softball Co-Ed Monday League. Playing in their first autumn city league, the Global LT Conquistadors finished the season as West Division Season Champions on Monday, October 12th.

 

The Global LT Conquistadors is a multicultural team with varying levels of knowledge and experience in the great American sport of softball, according to team manager Jessica Chudy. The team had participated in the city’s summer softball league, but had not made it to tournament play. Ms Chudy acknowledges that several of her team mates, who had never played softball before joining the Conquistadors, had honed their softball skills during the summer season.

 

When asked to reveal the secret to their success, Jessica Chudy says it is quite simple. “Throughout the softball season there was a lot of mentoring and teaching taking place. The better players were always sharing their knowledge with the novice players. We won the championship because we came together and worked hard as a  team. Our greatest accomplishment was pulling together as a team”.

 

Present at every game were plenty of Global LT fans cheering their team on and generating powerful team spirit. “The cheering and yelling from the stands always lifted up our morale,” says Chudy. The City of Troy Adult Fall Softball Co-Ed League played on Mondays, starting the second week of August, at Troy’s Flynn Park.
