Global LT is currently seeking an (unpaid) Accounting Intern to join our team.

SUMMARY:

The internship program is designed to provide students with accounting experience in the private sector.  The student would perform basic accounting duties. This is an unpaid internship and may be available for credit.   This individual will have the opportunity to work with our accountants, accounting supervisor, and controller on many projects. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Assist in Collection
• Cash receipt/deposit
• Resolve accounting discrepancies
• Reconciles bank statements and researches and resolves discrepancies
• Analyze and code accounts payable vouchers according to general ledger
• Assist with processing monthly employee expense reimbursements
• Participate in the month-end close process: reviewing account balances, creating / posting journal entries, preparing reports and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare Account Analysis as required
• Coordinate, track, and monitor financial data related to projects and customers
• Provide support with project billings and reporting
• Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist accounting team with various projects and other duties
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties including filing and mailing invoices
• Assist in some data entry
• Help the department alphabetize and collate files by filing, copying and scanning documents
• Aid in an internal review of the Department’s electronic and physical files  
• Compile and analyze financial information
• Review project expense documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Assist with aging invoices
• Complete special projects as needed

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:                                                      
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Email, Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
