Cultural Adjustment and the CCAI™

This course uses a self-assessment Cross Cultural Adaptability Inventory (CCAI™) tool to provide a company and its employee with insight into the employees' ability to adapt culturally in a new environment. The CCAI™ tool helps an individual understand what personal characteristics contribute to successful interactions with all cultures.  The culture-general CCAI™ focuses on four skill areas that research and experience have shown to be critical in adapting to other cultures – emotional resilience, flexibility and openness, perceptual acuity and personal autonomy.  Feedback is provided regarding an individual's relative strengths and weaknesses in relation to these four dimensions. This instrument is not a predictor of success but a self-assessment tool that offers time for personal reflection in regard to one's behavior within another culture.

Cultural Coaching

Global LT's Cultural Coaching Services help executives, faced with today's global challenges, gain new cultural insights and skills to better manage and mobilize their organizations.  Cultural coaching will help executives understand their own and other people's motives and emotions better, enabling them to lead and manage more effectively.  Participants will learn to think and act in a more culturally mindful way, resulting in stronger global relationships and better focus and alignment among global organizations.  The coaching process consists of a contracting session to clearly define expectations; a comprehensive needs assessment; workshop; and ongoing coaching sessions and review meeting.

Cultural Training (60+ Countries)

This course is custom-designed for international assignees and families relocating to a foreign country, based upon the completion of a needs assessment. Cultural training prepares individuals and their families for the time abroad by introducing cultural concepts, and raising awareness of one's own culture and the differences between it and the target culture, as it relates to business life and daily living.  City specific information is also reviewed. The class equips the international assignee to live and work successfully anywhere in the world. Course topics include a country/culture's history, geography, language, environment and technology, social organization, and communication style.  Global LT's Cultural Training courses are available for over 60 countries/cultures.

Repatriation Assessment

This assessment tool helps companies and employees prepare for the return home by addressing the challenges and concerns surrounding the repatriation experience. Workplace, personal life, and reverse culture shock are among the topics addressed. A preliminary questionnaire is administered to all members of the repatriating family to assess levels of readiness and uncover any potential areas of concern. Prior to repatriation, consultants begin work with family members to goal-set and discuss expectations. Other services, such as student educational assessments are also available.
