TROY, Mich. Global LT, a leading provider of Language & Cultural Training, Translation and Expatriate Destination Services sponsored an employee “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” on April 26th 2012.
“Allowing your children to enter your work world provides them a better understanding of what you do and who you are as parent when we are at work. It’s more tangible for children to see the environment and understand what an Accountant is, or what a Trainer does when they can experience it for themselves. Plus, it offers opportunities for parents to engage in conversation about education, global work opportunities and their own personal goals for the future.” Says Kristin Lambert, Marketing Manager, Global LT.
Global LT had more than 20 children participate from its staff of 85 employees. Children were taken through cultural training courses, mapping other countries around the world and learning about their native language. They were also given an opportunity to see firsthand how a global company interacts with its offices in Honk Kong and the United Kingdom with a live webinar talking to employees from those regions. The kids also engaged in programs from Accounting, Translations, HR and Marketing.
