Global LT, Inc. invites you to take a culinary journey around the world and help two worthy causes at the same time.

The company, located in Troy with offices across the U.S. and around the world, is a leading provider of language and cultural training, translations and expatriate destination services.  In celebration of Global LT's 30th anniversary, company employees and their language service providers around the globe contributed over 200 recipes for a cookbook - A Culinary Journey with Global LT.  It is available for sale and the net proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Fund and Habitat for Humanity.

The cookbook features recipes in every category from appetizers and beverages to breads, rolls and desserts.  The favorite foods from over 25 different countries and four continents are featured along with interesting cultural tidbits. According to Kerry Sipes, Global LT Language Department Project Manager, the inspiration for the cookbook sprang from the company's beloved tradition of regularly hosting employee international potluck lunches, reflecting the culturally diverse workforce.  ‘With over 21 nationalities represented, our monthly potluck lunches offer a wealth of culinary inspiration.  We enjoy our diversity so much we thought others would too.'

The charities to benefit from the cookbook sales were selected because of their global relevance as well as for their personal meaning for employees and the company's founder, Hortensia Neely Albertini, who is a breast cancer survivor, according to Lisa Koziol, Global LT Language Department Manager.  ‘We knew we wanted to support a breast cancer charity because of what Hortensia has been through; and we wanted to donate to a charity that might not receive as much funding as other better known breast cancer causes.  That's why we selected the Breast Cancer Fund.  We choose Habitat for Humanity for its work around the world and its relevance in the countries where we have employees and conduct business.'
