Global LT Lends a Helping Hand to Others

In the true spirit of the holidays, the employees of Global LT extended a helping hand to two local charities – the Royal Oak Animal Shelter and the Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS). It has been a tradition for Global LT, a leading provider of language training, cultural training, translations and destination services, to adopt a local charity for the past several years.

Since Thanksgiving, Global LT employees have collected food, clothing and toys for COTS; and blankets, beds and biscuits for animals at the Royal Oak Animal shelter. According to Cindy Alamargot, Global LT 2010 holiday charity co-captain, these organizations were selected because their goals align with the hearts and minds of Global LT employees. “Both organizations strive to help the needy and the most vulnerable in our society –homeless men, women, and children and abandoned or abused animals. Our hearts go out to them especially at this time of year when it’s so cold outside. Both charities were very happy to receive our donations. I’m so glad we were able to make someone’s day a little brighter.”

Global LT delivered two truckloads of donated items to the Royal Oak Animal Shelter and COTS on Monday, December 20, 2010. Both organizations were very happy to have received all the wonderful donations contributed by the Global LT team. Explains Ms. Alamargot, “It was very heartwarming to hear, ‘Wow, this is great!’ and ‘Thank you so much for thinking of us!’ more than once and from both charities.”

Global LT is located in Troy, Michigan with representatives throughout the U.S. and around the world. Since 1979, Global LT has provided global corporations with language training, cultural training, translations and expatriate destination services.
