Date: 09/04/2008

Global LT, a leading provider of language services headquartered in Troy, Michigan, with offices throughout the U.S. and internationally, has announced the availability of its new e-Langua language training course – an introductory, instructor-led program delivered online.

According to Suzanne Smulsky, Global LT Marketing & Communications’ Director, e-Langua language training will be available in English, French, and Mandarin Chinese beginning in September. ‘We’re debuting e-Langua with some of our most popular and in-demand languages. In early 2009, we’ll add Spanish, German and Japanese. Demand for this type of training delivery is strong already so I’m confident additional languages will be offered in this format in the near future.’

There has been a real customer need for instructor-led online training, according to Michael Burke, a Global LT language and cultural training instructor. Says Burke, ‘The e-Langua initiative has proven to be extraordinarily valuable as an additional option for language instruction. It affords today's busy and mobile student easy and portable access to resources that previously were only available in limited geographic locations. Now, a student anywhere has access to the highest levels of quality instruction from anywhere in the world, even when traveling. Sometimes the first question I ask my student at the beginning of a session is, "What country are you in today?" This is one use of technology that is certain to grow.’
